On 29 March Three Dragons, with support from the Right to Build Task Force, will take place in Milton Keynes, as organised by the RTPI East of England.
The afternoon seminar will inform a range of stakeholders about custom and self-build and the legislative framework and duties that it places on local authorities. Topics up for debate include a review of potential local plan and SPD policy approaches, practical development issues and a range of options to support planning for these.
Local authority activity will be a focus, including the ways in which they can maximise delivery of self/custom build and community involvement, including through the use of Community Land Trusts and using neighbourhood plans to provide for self and custom build.
